contentYour student now has access to Writing A-Z, an online tool to practice and learn writing skills. Writing A-Z is broken down into 5 different levels of writing abilities. Each level expects slightly more from the writer as it goes up. There are four sections inside of Writing A-Z: Build-a-Book, Write Your Way, Process Writing, and Writing Library. Write Your Way will let you write one-page of whatever you want and publish it the library. Build-a-Book will allow you to create a multi-page book and publish it to the library. The Process Writing section will walk you through the process of writing different types of essays from brainstorming to the final published essay. All of the published writings will be available for review in the Writing Library.
levelIf the required elements in the current level are too difficult for the student, please contact the teacher and request a simpler level.
published worksWork that is published to the Writing Library will ONLY be seen by the student and the teacher. If it is something that you would like to share with others in the KOLA Writing Online course, you will have to make that request.
LIVE FEedbackOnce a month, there will be a writing assignment given by the teacher that will show up as “Assignment” in one or more of the sections of Writing A-Z. If the student completes that assignment and publishes their writing, the teacher will critique it and give feedback. Feedback will also be given whenever possible on other writing that is published. If there is anything in particular that you would like a score on, please email the title to the teacher and it will be scored.
